She was the young wife of an older man in the movie (the same role that Shah Rukh Khan played). The film was hit on the box office and was the second-highest-grossing movie of 2008. Anushka performed with Shahid Kapoor, Vir Das, and Meiyang Chang in the 2010 movie "Badmash Company". This movie was met with mixed review. That same year Anushka Sharma was seen in the film "Band Baaja Baaraat' alongside Ranveer Singh in an upper-middle class Punjabi girl who begins her own wedding-planning business. The movie got positive reviews. In Band Baaja Baaraat, Anushka's three-film agreement under the Yash Raj Films banner was final.
